Hi! My name is Sarah Nienaber, and I’m the photographer behind Slow Cloud.

I began my career in real estate and architectural photography in Portland, OR, where I honed my skills capturing spaces with a cinematic, documentary-inspired perspective. Born and raised in northern Minnesota, I returned to the Midwest in 2024. Now based in Luck, Wisconsin, I bring over 15 years of diverse photography experience to clients in western Wisconsin, eastern Minnesota and the Minneapolis-St. Paul area.

I studied cinema and media at Carleton College, which shaped how I think about composition, narrative, and the way images tell stories. Whether I’m photographing a lakeside cabin, a new construction home, or a coffee shop interior, I’m looking for the same thing: the inherent elegance of everything that reflects light.
